Sturdiest and cleanest looking rod holders
These rod holders are going to require quite a bit of time to install since each of the components are independent. With that said, this also gives you the most flexibility when it comes to picking you mounting location and configuration. The curve on the brackets are an extremely good match to what is on the console. However, If you want the rod holders to mount at a perfect 90 degrees perpendicular to the deck, you need to mount both brackets on the lower section of your console. If you do this, your rod butts are going to touch the deck. I found that if you drill a new mounting hold on each rod holder about 50mm below the original top hole, this will raise where you rod holders mount by just enough to keep the rod butts from touching the deck and allows you to mount in the most vertical configuration so you don't walk into your rods when moving about the deck. After all is said and done, the rod holders are nicely tucked and super sturdy, you don't have to worry about bumping into them and breaking or ripping them out of your console. You will need to provide your own hardware and 2'' long 8-24 ss bolts with lock nuts and flat washers will do the trick. You'll need a set of 12 nuts and bolts and 24 washers. All in all, I'm super happy with the setup.

Size issue
Nothing wrong with these however they are exactly 1 inch larger than those that came on my 1890 so you will need to drill new holes to mount them. Also these do NOT come with mounting hardware so go get new stainless steel #10x24x2.5" bolts, washers and locking nuts at Ace Hardware.
